Looking for an opportunity to get outdoors this summer? We are looking to add energetic, go-getters to our team of Park Operators at beautiful Kentucky-Alleyne Provincial Park, located 38km south of Merritt and 11km south of Aspen Grove, just off Highway 5A.
This is a seasonal, 40hr per week opportunity, available from approximately May 1st, 2026 to Labor Day 2026.
Successful applicants would be required to stay on site if they are not within a reasonable commuting range and applicants would have to supply their own RV/trailer/camper. There are free host sites available for the successful applicants with access to water and toilets (please be advised that electrical hook-ups and public showers are not available within the Park).
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Camper registration and fee collection
- Enforcement of Park Policies
- Cleaning of campsites and trails
- Cleaning/restocking washroom facilities
- Garbage collection
- Landscaping duties: litter pick-up/mowing/weed whacking/raking/leaf-blowing/etc.
- Painting and minor infrastructure repair/maintenance
- Other duties as assigned by the Park Manager
Required Skillset:
- Positive attitude is everything!
- Team player who can take direction/training
- Enjoyment/appreciation of nature
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Handyman skills are an asset but not required
- Must possess a flexible mindset with a positive, respectful and helpful demeanor
- The ability to trouble-shoot and implement work-arounds on the fly and as needed
- Self-starter with a high level of initiative/self-discipline to work without direct supervision
- Should have a natural enjoyment of working with the public
- Can maintain a calm, consistent, and professional attitude in the face of adversity
- Driver’s license is required and successful applicants will need to provide a drivers abstract
*Experience is not necessary, but is an asset. All training will be provided*
*Starting wage $20-$23 an hour based on experience*
