Park Operator – Horsefly Lake Provincial Park
Location: Horsefly Lake Provincial Park, near Williams Lake, BC
Position: May 8th (Tentative) to September 16th, 2026 *Dates are subject to change and will be confirmed prior to hiring*
Are you looking for a unique opportunity to live and work in a stunning provincial park? We are seeking a responsible, self-sufficient individual, couple, or partner duo to manage and maintain Horsefly Lake Provincial Park for the season.
About the Park:
Horsefly Lake Provincial Park features a popular 23-site campground and a day-use area with a developed beach, a horseshoe pit, and a scenic nature trail. The park is a great destination for hiking, exploring, and fishing, making it a favorite spot for outdoor enthusiasts.

*Please note: This is a remote location with NO cellular service. However, Starlink internet will be provided on-site for connectivity.
*There is NO power or flush toilets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campground & Facility Maintenance: Daily cleaning of campsites, outhouses, picnic areas, and day-use facilities
- Guest Services & Sales: Checking in visitors, handling cash, processing deposits, and financial reporting
- Park Operations: Enforcing park rules, addressing visitor concerns, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment
- Groundskeeping & General Upkeep: Mowing, pruning, raking, sweeping, painting, and maintaining park infrastructure
- Administrative Tasks: Selling park permits, firewood sales, and maintaining reservation records
Requirements:
- Preferably partner duo with experience working together
- Must have own self-contained RV (no water/power hookups available)
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Current First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to provide a Driver’s Abstract and Criminal Record Check upon hiring
- Comfortable with remote living and independent problem-solving
- Experience with groundskeeping equipment, maintenance, or customer service is an asset
- Ability to enforce park rules professionally and interact positively with guests
